NARS South Pacific : The 1949 Broadway musical South Pacific and its subsequent 1958 movie adaptation tell the quintessential story of love in paradise inextricably intertwined with the darkness of prejudice and war. South Pacific, the movie, was shot on locationprimarily at beautiful Hanalei Bay on the Hawaiian island of Kawa'i. The storyline follows two romances against the backdrop of the Pacific Theater of World War II: Nellie, an American nurse from Arkansas falls in love with Emile, an expatriate French pla...

NARS South Pacific : NARS South Pacific Eyeshadow Duo NARS South Pacific Eyeshadow Duo is described as a "shimmering blue turquoise" and "dark aquamarine." On the left, there is a twinkling sky blue with a hint of teal and white frost finish. Inglot #415 is similar but it leans a touch greener and has a subtle golden sheen. The color payoff of this shade was excellent-so densely packed with color with a rich, smooth texture that made it easy to blend and apply. On the right, there is a muted, silvered blue with a...

(somehow i look paler in the first photo thanks to my lighting skills - I'm a little more tan as you can see from the eye close ups!) The two aren't similar, but they work beautifully together! I would DEFINITELY recommend Habanera. The metallic shade is definitely better on cooler skin tones, but the burgundy-with-silver-sparkle is pretty neutral. It makes a MEAN smoky eye, and both shades are excellent quality. NO fading, creasing, with normal application over primer. Easy to b...

NARS Habanera : I love how pigmented these shadows are and the minty shade gives a bit of flair to a classic grey. When swatched, the glitter in the grey shade is not so visible, and although there is some glitter, there is no fallout.

NARS Habanera : I love NARS' eye shadows, especially their duo eyeshadows. I've found myself reaching for their Habanera ($39 CAD) duo quite a bit recently! This duo contains two beautiful eye shadow shades that I wouldn't normally think to pair together, but they really do work beautifully together! Habanera contains a mint green shimmer and a glimmering charcoal plum. I normally like to apply the mint green shadow all over my lid, and then I add the plum shade to my crease. I love these NARS duos because t...
